Plan & billing
The subscription that keeps an organization writable — trial, upgrades, downgrades and cancellation
Every organization runs on one subscription, managed on Plan & billing. Payment collection runs through Stripe: plan changes are confirmed on a Stripe page, and invoices, the payment method and cancellation live in the Stripe billing portal behind Manage billing.
Plans
| Trial | Starter | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | €19.99 / month | €29.99 / month |
| Portals | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Game servers per portal | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Members and pending invitations | 3 | 5 | 15 |
| Custom domains | 1 | 3 | 10 |
Every new organization starts on the Trial: 30 days with no card required, available once. Trial limits aside, it is functionally equal to the paid plans. Current usage against each limit is shown on the plan summary as Portals, Members + invites and Custom domains.
Subscription status
The plan summary shows one of: Trial, Active, Payment overdue, Trial expired, Canceled.
Trial and Active mean full write access. In the other states the organization is read-only: configuration and data are preserved, portals show the Coming Soon page to players, and choosing a paid plan restores write access.
Choosing a paid plan
- On Plan & billing, pick a plan card and choose Choose plan (from the Trial) or Upgrade.
- Complete the Stripe Checkout page. Promotion codes are supported.
- You return to Plan & billing with Billing details updated.
Leaving checkout early returns with Checkout canceled. Your current plan was not changed. Right after a change, the page may briefly show that Stripe accepted it while the local status refreshes.
Upgrades and downgrades
With a subscription in place, Upgrade and Downgrade open a Stripe confirmation page for the new price.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are invoiced right away, prorated for the remainder of the period.
- Downgrades first require usage to fit the target plan — the plan card lists exactly what to reduce (Before downgrading: …) and enables the button once it fits. A confirmed downgrade is scheduled for the current period end; until then the summary shows Downgrade to <plan> scheduled for the current period end, and new resources already use the lower limits. Cancel downgrade on the scheduled plan's card releases the schedule and keeps the current plan.
Managing billing and canceling
Manage billing opens the Stripe billing portal for the organization:
- invoice history;
- payment method updates;
- billing name, address and tax ID;
- cancellation, effective at the current period end.
A scheduled cancellation is flagged on the plan summary: Cancellation is scheduled for the current period end. When the period ends the subscription becomes Canceled and the organization turns read-only, ready to be revived by choosing a plan again.
Fresh sign-in required
Plan changes, checkout and the billing portal are sensitive actions: with a sign-in older than ten minutes, the console asks for a new security code first.
