Business checks
The check Forgeport runs on your business details before your portal can take money, and what happens if it does not clear
Forgeport is required by EU law to screen the businesses it serves against published sanctions lists. The check runs on the business details you submit on Payments, and it is the reason those details have to be the ones you actually trade under rather than a display name.
When it runs
Submitting or changing your business details starts a check. Until it clears, the organization cannot connect a payment account, publish a portal or take money.
The check also re-runs on its own as the published lists change, so an organization that cleared once can be looked at again later.
What you see

Most organizations go from In review to Cleared without doing anything else.
If it does not clear
A name close to one on a sanctions list is enough to pause the check for a person to look at it, and near-matches on common names are ordinary. If that happens, the organization stays in review until the review finishes — nothing is deleted and nothing you have built is lost.
Two outcomes are final rather than a delay:
- Some countries cannot be served at all. If yours is one of them, the page says so when you submit your details, and there is no appeal Forgeport can offer — it is not our decision to make.
- If a check on an organization already running does not clear, its portals go read-only and stop serving players while the matter is settled. The organization's owners are told by email, and the console explains what is happening rather than simply refusing.
Getting it looked at
If you believe a match is wrong, write to contact@forgeport.net from the email on the account, with the legal name and country you registered. That is the fastest route — resubmitting the same details does not shorten a review.
What we do not do
- Forgeport does not run a credit check, ask for documents, or score your business in any way.
- The check looks at the business details you submitted. It does not look at your players.
