Stripe Connect and player payments

The connected account that receives player payments, coin packages, and refunds

Forgeport keeps two Stripe relationships apart:

  • Plan & billing is what the organization pays Forgeport for the subscription.
  • Stripe Connect is the account that receives what players pay. Each organization remains the merchant of record for its portals.

Connecting Stripe

Stripe Connect in the organization console connects one Stripe account that receives payments for every portal in the organization.

  1. Choose Connect Stripe and complete Stripe's onboarding.
  2. If onboarding stops partway, the page offers Continue onboarding until Stripe has everything it needs.
  3. Once active, Update Stripe details reopens Stripe to change the account's information.

The page shows four status badges — Mode (Live or Test), Account, Charges and Payouts — and confirms on return whether Stripe is connected and ready to accept payments. An active account with charges enabled completes the Stripe gate on each portal's Launch Checklist.

Coin packages

Players top up Portal Coins through coin packages, configured per portal on Admin → Payments.

  1. Choose New coin package and set its coin amount and price.
  2. New packages stay disabled until you enable them — enable the package when it is ready to sell.

Editing, disabling and deleting happen from the Coin packages table. At least one enabled package completes the coin gate on the Launch Checklist.

Payment activity

Admin → Payments lists the portal's Stripe payments with their payment number, searchable and paginated, together with the net captured total. Each payment links to its charge in the connected Stripe account's dashboard.

Refunds

One refund policy applies everywhere: a purchase is refundable for 14 days, while its value is still unspent. The player's own Request refund button and the admin-side refund action on Payments enforce the same answer, so refunding on a player's behalf gives exactly what the player would get themselves.
